Privacy Policy

1. General provisions
1.1. This privacy policy (hereinafter referred to as the Policy) describes how MeowPaw OÜ (registry code 17308133, e-mail info@tõukassid.ee, hereinafter referred to as the Administrator) processes the personal data of users of the Tõukassid.ee portal (hereinafter referred to as the Portal).
1.2. The Administrator ensures that data processing is carried out in accordance with the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Estonian law.
1.3. Use of the Portal means that the User has read and agreed to this Policy.

2. Processed data
The Administrator may process the following User data:
• name, e-mail address, and contact telephone number;
• advertisement and payment details;
• IP address and device details (e.g., browser, operating system);
• communication with the Administrator (e.g., e-mails, messages);
• other data voluntarily provided by the User (e.g., breeder’s name or breed association membership).

3. Purposes of data processing
User data is processed for the following purposes:
• publishing advertisements and providing services;
• customer communication and sending notifications;
• settlement and accounting;
• payment management and confirmation of payment for the service;
• prevention of fraud and detection of misuse;
• fulfillment of legal obligations (e.g., accounting documents).

4. Legal basis
Personal data is processed on the following legal bases:
• User consent (e.g. for publishing an advertisement);
• Performance of a contract (provision of services and billing);
• Legal obligation (e.g. retention of accounting data);
• Legitimate interest of the controller (prevention of fraud, ensuring service quality).

5. Data retention
5.1. Personal data will only be retained for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose of processing or to comply with a legal obligation.
5.2. Accounting data will be retained for 7 years in accordance with the Accounting Act.
5.3. When a user account is deleted, personal data is deleted, except for data that must be retained in accordance with the law.

6. Transfer of data to third parties
6.1. The controller may transfer data to service providers who provide technical, payment, or IT support if this is necessary for the provision of the service (e.g., web hosting, payment solutions).
6.2. All partners are obliged to ensure the security of data and to process it in accordance with applicable law.
6.3. The administrator does not sell or rent personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.

7. User rights
The user has the following rights:
• to receive information about what data is being processed about them;
• to request the correction, deletion, or restriction of the processing of their data;
• to withdraw their consent;
• to object to the processing of data;
• to request the transfer of data;
• to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Inspectorate (www.aki.ee) if the User finds that the processing of their data violates their rights.

8. Security
The administrator implements technical and organizational measures to protect personal data from accidental or unlawful destruction, alteration, unauthorized access, or disclosure.

9. Cookies and tracking technologies
9.1. The Portal uses cookies to ensure the functionality of the website, analyze usage statistics, and improve the user experience.
9.2. Users can restrict or disable the use of cookies in their browser, but this may affect the functionality of the Portal.
9.3. If necessary, third-party analysis tools (e.g., Google Analytics) are also used to collect anonymous data.

10. Changes to the Privacy Policy
10.1. The Administrator has the right to change the Policy at any time by publishing an updated version on the Portal website.
10.2. Changes come into effect upon publication. Continued use of the Portal means acceptance of the changes.
